ALEXANDER WIJS

Founder & Managing Partner

Before founding Orangeland Capital, Alexander worked as private equity investor at Freshstream Investment Partners, focusing on family-owned and entrepreneur-led businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium. Prior to that, Alexander began his career as investment banker with Morgan Stanley in the firm's London and New York offices. 


Alexander holds a Master in Finance from ESADE Business School in Barcelona and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Orangeland Capital's investor base includes successful serial entrepreneurs with strong local roots in the Netherlands and Belgium as well as local and international (institutional) investors.


An investment firm that is looking to acquire one single company and that is offering a seller a succession solution by taking over management upon acquisition is called a 'Search Fund'. This is an established investment model that is known as 'Entrepreneurship through Acquisition' and that originated in the 1980's in the United States.


Orangeland Capital's investor base includes some of the Search Fund asset class' most established investors and a number of them teach Entrepreneurship through Acquisition at premier business schools, including at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.


Our investors are closely-involved and each of them brings a unique skillset to the table, ranging from deep sector expertise to professional investor and transaction execution experience.
